Reports

Once a year, the Austrian Ombudsman Board submits a comprehensive report on its activities to the Parliament.

This report is published in two volumes: Volume 1 provides an overview of the control of public administration at federal level and volume 2 deals with preventive human rights controls in Austria. The Ombudsman Board can also submit special reports on specific topics to Parliament at any time.

The Austrian Ombudsman Board publishes its annual report also in English. It forwards the English version to the UN.

In seven federal regions, the Ombudsman Board also audits the entire administration at regional and municipal level. Here too, it regularly summarises the results of its investigative proceedings in reports to the regional parliaments.

On the website you will also find the latest findings of maladministration, statements on draft legislation and legislative recommendations. These, as well as all other reports, are published in German only.
