Cooperations
In an effort to intensify cooperation and exchange with like-minded organisations, the IOI has signed numerous cooperation agreements, such as with the Association for the Prevention of Torture (APT) and the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA). The aim of these agreements is to strengthen cooperation and expand the range of training programmes in the area of anti-corruption and torture prevention.
Co-operation agreements with regional ombudsman networks, e.g. with the African Ombudsman and Mediators Association (AOMA), the Federation of Ibero-American Ombudsman (FIO), the Caribbean Ombudsman Association (CAROA), the Forum of Canadian Ombudsman (FCO) or the Australian and New Zealand Ombudsman Association (ANZOA) primarily serve to deepen the exchange of experience and information between colleagues in the different regions of the world.
The IOI works closely with the United Nations.
