The Austrain Ombudsman Board uses the following figurative mark for documents officially 
signed electronically:

Verification of officially signed documents

The Austrain Ombudsman Board offers recipients of printed copies of officially signed documents from the Austrain Ombudsman Board the following options for requesting a verification of authenticity:

  • Postal delivery or personal delivery of the document to the Austrain Ombudsman Board.
  • Send the document by fax to the Austrain Ombudsman Board on +43 1 515 05 - 190.
  • Send a scanned copy of the document by email to post(at)volksanwaltschaft.gv.at.

The Ombudsman’s Office will check whether the document is one of its own and, if the verification is successful, will respond to the enquiry/request with: “The document you have submitted originates from the specified authority and its content remains unchanged,” accompanied by a written confirmation. If the verification is unsuccessful, the following reply will be provided: “The document you have submitted could not be verified by the specified authority.”
