Who is the Pension Commission?
The Pensions Commission is chaired by Ombudsman Bernhard Achitz and consists of eleven experts from various professions. You can find the members of the Pension Commission here.
What is the role of the Pension Commission?
The Pension Commission deals with applications from persons who have not yet received compensation from a victim protection organisation or whose application has been rejected.
The Pension Commission assesses the circumstances established in the clearing and the applicant's submissions. Only anonymised documents are submitted to the Pension Commission. This means that the Pension Commission does not know the names of the applicants.
The Pension Commission assesses whether the accounts are credible. Finally, it makes a proposal to the Ombudsman Board for a decision.
