Working together for even better financial administration

The Austrian Ombudsman Board received 24,000 complaints in the previous year - and more than eleven per cent related to the Ministry of Finance and the Federal Fiscal Court. "The reasons were often incorrect entries in the IT system, problems with decisions or a lack of communication. In my role as Ombudswoman, I deal with precisely these cases - when things go wrong in the financial administration and people find themselves in difficult situations as a result. I spoke to Finance Minister Markus Marterbauer about these issues. Together, we are committed to making the financial administration even better, more citizen-friendly and more service-orientated," said Ombudswoman Gaby Schwarz after her exchange with the Minister of Finance.
