The weekly TV show “Bürgeranwalt” ("Advocate for the People") is a major platform for Austrian Ombudsman Board issues.  Each week particularly striking cases are presented to an average audience of 320,000 viewers.

    For three years until the end of last year the seventeen year old Markus frequented the integration school in Thörl. He would have liked to finish his fourth year at the same school. However, in February 2011 his mother received a notice by the District School Office which foresees that Markus visits a special school in Kapfenberg.

  • BRINEK: Cycle Lane becomes Obstacle Course

    For Mr. Nagl, resdident in Mannersdorf am Leithagebirge in Lower Austria, a bycicle ride ended up in the Regional Public Hospital of Mödling, after colliding with an iron bollard of 50 centimetres in height, which had been installed at the cycle lane of Mannerdorf.
