STOISITS VISITS MoRah CLOSING-EVENT

On June 6th, 2011, Ombudswoman Terezija Stoisits visited the MoRah closing-event at the Jewish Community Center in Vienna.

 

MoRah is a non-profit organization offering educational programs for Austrian scholars. The program is dedicated to the education of humanity, tolerance and civil courage. The scholars learn from contemporary history and commemorate the victims of the Shoah.

 

During the program the scholars also participate in the commemorative event "March of the Living" at the former concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau. The MoRah-participants form the Austrian delegation and together with thousands of other participants from around the world commemorate the victims of the Shoah. During the closing event the scholars presented their art projects which they created after the commemorative excursion.

 

Beforehand the visitors of the event had the possibility to participate in a Q&A with Marko Feingold who was invited as a speaker. Marko Feingold is a survivor of the Holocaust, visits schools regularly and is actively involved in the inter-religious dialogue.
