AUSTRIAN SOCIETY FOR LEGISLATION DOCTRINE STAGES EVENT AT THE OM-BUDSMAN BOARD

Being a grievance monitoring institution the Ombudsman Board regularly points out improvements which are possible and necessary within administration. In their statements the hosts and members of the Ombudsman Board, Dr. Peter Kostelka, Dr. Gertrude Brinek, and Mag.a Terezija Stoisits, accentuated this perspective.

The symposium was top class staffed by the chairman of the Austrian Society for Legislation Doctrine, Univ.-Prof. Dr. Georg Lienbacher, and the referees, Dr. Josef Moser, Chairman of the Audit Court represented by Dr. Helmut Berger, Univ.-Prof. Dr. Verena Madner, and Univ.-Ass. Dr. Erich Pürgy, Vienna University of Economics and Business, Univ.-Prof. Dr. Gerhard Baumgartner, University of Klagenfurt, Univ.-Prof. Dr. Bernhard Raschauer, University of Vienna, Univ. Prof. Dr. Eva Schulev-Steindl, University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, as well as Mag.a Claudia Marik, Ombudsman Board.

In her talk Mag.a Claudia Marik of the Ombudsman Board discussed administrative reform and deregulation from a grievance-monitoring perspective.

120 persons registered for the event which shows the importance and exigency of the topic. During the event lively discussions were spurred by the views expressed in the talks.
